Things To Consider

What To Expect

With a nice budget of £1000 you can start to expect some pretty good standards. We’d like to see aluminium frames and forks on display as well as very well manufactured gear systems. Design is something we can begin to focus on as most of these bikes will be on the money in terms of components and ride quality.

Quality

As mentioned above we’d hope to see a high quality frame being used on these bikes. The bikes above features aluminium frames and some have carbon forks so lightweight goes without saying. These bikes ooze quality from every element and can really start to deliver you a well delivered road bike.

Common Features

The common feature with these bikes are the aluminium frames and branded tyres. We’ve increased our budget enough that we’re starting to see high quality components being used on these road bikes.

Additional Features

Something that isn’t so common on the lower models is carbon components. We are starting to see carbon composite forks used in these bikes as more and more effort is made to reduce weight and drag.

Worth It?

If you’re looking for a road bike that will give you premium features and return comfortable reliable rides then absolutely. However considering our budget is starting to enter serious figures, if you’re just starting out then perhaps these bikes are a little too much of an investment. For the semi professional or long term biker these bikes are a great choice, unless you have the budget available for the higher models that is.
